Flower delivery in Lužec nad Vltavou from a local florist
Lužec nad Vltavou lies about 7 km south-west of Mělník. The municipality occupies an island between the Vltava and the Vraňansko-hořínský navigation canal. The canal was built between 1902 and 1905.
In the centre stands the Baroque Church of St Giles, built in 1762 after the original Gothic church was destroyed by fire; its interior has Rococo frescoes. A suspension footbridge built in 2020 connects Lužec with Bukol across the Vltava, and the EuroVelo 7 cycle route runs over it. Since 2020, the canal has been crossed by the first vertical-lift railway bridge on the Czech railway network. An industrial and logistics area has been developing since 2010 on the site of a sugar factory founded in 1862.
BIANCA-květiny delivers flowers in Lužec nad Vltavou. Its delivery service also covers Veltrusy, Velvary, Nelahozeves, Libčice nad Vltavou, Odolena Voda and Velké Přílepy.
